The Team
The Minnesota Cycling Team is a race-oriented USA Cycling club that competes in road, track, cycle cross and
mountain bike events.
The team is sponsored by Tonka Cycle & Ski and is a member of the
Minnesota Cycling Federation.
Past team achievements include a national championship gold medal and numerous state championship gold medals. Our team has a long history racing in Minnesota, and nationally. See our team history page to view some past achievements. The team also offers a general fitness-oriented membership group called the 20 MPH Club, for riders interested in the benefits of an organized club without the demands of a race group.
Benefits
The team offers its members excellent opportunities including structured training rides, race reimbursement,
individualized coaching, discounted membership for juniors, custom team clothing, and a discount on parts
and labor at Tonka Cycle. Team membership includes male and female riders, from juniors to masters.

About Team Membership
After paying team dues of $100 (juniors $50), you will be issued team clothing as described in the
membership applications. All new members will automatically be given "B" team status. "A" team status is determined
annually by the Board and submitted to Tonka before April 1.
The team offers similar benefits to all riders regardless of team status. The "A" team is size-limited, and based on the following criteria: (1) Member who actively participates in team functions such as operations, events, training rides, coaching, etc.; (2) USCF category III or higher; (3) NORBA Sport or higher.
Members are expected to represent all team sponsors in a positive manner. Participation in races and team functions is strongly encouraged. Each member is expected to volunteer to help with the events we promote and general team operations. It is understood that each member also has a life outside cycling that may make participation difficult at times.
Sponsorship
Team sponsors help support our activities through donations of products, discounts, and sometimes financial
support. Their decision to help us is in part due to our ability to provide visibility for them. You are
encouraged to patronize our team sponsors and recommend them to the riders you come in contact with.
